What does the procedure involve?
Profhilo® involves just five injection points on each side of the face. Before the procedure, the doctor will numb these points with an anaesthetic cream to make the treatment at comfortable as possible. All in all, the actual injection part takes about 10 minutes, making Profhilo® a perfect ''lunch-break procedure''. Immediately after the treatment, the points of injection will be slightly raised. This will resolve within 48 hours as the product spreads under the skin. Over the next few weeks, the hyaluronic acid chains will stimulate your own cells to produce more collagen and elastin resulting in an improvement in skin texture, increase in firmness and a higher level of hydration. It is recommended to perform two sessions, a month apart, to achieve the best results and to repeat the treatment every 3-6 months as prevention and maintenance. Increased hydration can be seen within a few days after treatment, while the full results of its effect on collagen and elastic induction can best be observed 4 weeks after the second session.
