What is AQUAGOLD® fine touch™
The choice of ingredients delivered with AQUAGOLD® fine touch™ is entirely up to the clinician, allowing personalised treatments based on skin type and areas of concern. There is no one “cocktail recipe”,common ingredients include: hyaluronic acid fillers, vitamin complexes, growth factors, PRP, stem cells and peptides. A very popular and well received treatment is AQUAGOLD® and a neurotoxin to address enlarged pores in the T-zone.
What to expect during and after treatment?
The procedure is very comfortable and you will not experience pain thanks to the addition of anaesthetic either in the ''cocktail'' or by applying a cream anaesthetic to your skin. Even without anaesthetic the only sensation you are likely to experience is pinching when the device is stamped onto the skin.
Immediately after the treatment your skin will be flushed. This will subside in 10 mins to 1 hour depending on how senstive your skin is. Results of AQUAGOLD® fine touch™ can be seen immediately, the skin is left hydrated and glowing. Results continue to improve over the coming days and weeks.
How is AQUAGOLD® fine touch™ different from microneedling?
Patients often ask why they might want to choose AQUAGOLD® over traditional microneedling. Those with needle-phobia are good candidates for AQUAGOLD® as the needles are hair-thin, you do not see them at any point during the procedure and they do not cause any bleeding. Patients with rosacea whose skin is extra sensitive might also suit this treatment better than traditional microneedling, as it is a lot more gentle, and they will benefit from the addition of Botox® into the cocktail as botulinum toxin has been clinically shown to significantly reduce redness in the course of rosacea. Thanks to how delicate the needles are we are also able to safely treat sensitive areas such as the under eye skin. Lastly, AQUAGOLD® has basically no downtime. After traditional microneedling you can expect to see redness for about 24 hours, whereas with AQUAGOLD® redness usually does not last longer than 30 minutes to an hour which is a plus if you have an important event the next day or even the same evening. On the other hand, if you wish to improve the appearance of acne scarring or deeper lines and wrinkles, these indications are better suited for traditional microneedling, which is also a comfortable and painless procedure as we numb the skin with anaesthetic prior to treatment.
