Aesthetic medicine is slowly moving away from purely filling and volumising. Instead we are entering the territory of bioremodeling, biostimulating and biorestructuring; processes which utilise our own skin’s ability to regenerate itself in order to improve its hydration, density and elasticity. Nucleofill is composed of nucleotides which have a natural affinity to water, hence give the skin a large dose of hydration. In addition, as the nucleotides are broken down, their fragments play two important roles: free radical scavenging and stimulation of conversion of fibroblasts into myofibroblasts.
